I have downloaded prime on ipad 2 and purchased 1 track. It seems to run fine on my old Ipad 2. I was looking to purchase looptimus as I lead worship from guitar. I also use onsong as well from my research I think I can have looptimus to trigger tracks plus control onsong by sending midi commands. My concern is wondering if looptimus is compatible with the older Ipad 30 pin connector. Also I could not really find a adapter to use with the 30 pin that would allow me to connect to looptimus and charge my ipad 2 at same time. I'm ready to purchase looptimus.

Yes - Looptimus will work with a 30-pin Apple Adapter.

Awesome do you know if there is a 30 pin adapter that will allow to charge the ipad and connect it to the looptimus at same time. I know they make one for lighting adapters just was not sure on 30 pin

Sorry so many questions, but I have one more. If you have ipad connected to looptimus via usb. Then purchase power supply for looptimus will the looptimus charge the ipad

The Looptimus will not charge the iPad. However, the Looptimus will not drain your iPad battery, which is a plus. Even without a power adapter, you're good for about 4 hours.

Great, yeah 4 hours of battery life is more than enough. Thanks

I just bought a looptimus to pair with my iPad 2 which has the 30 pin connector. I purchased some adapters to go from usb to 30 pin but I can't get the looptimus to power on. Any suggestions?

Hey Carl,

Are you using the official adapter from Apple or a third party adapter? If you are using a third-party adapter, that may cause issues.

I purchased the official adapter (hard to come by now that these are several years old). The looptimus powers on but the midi mapping doesn't seem to work.

Have you tried a factory reset on the pedal? You can do this by powering the Looptimus on while holding down buttons 1 + 4 (A+D). Let us know if it's still not receiving MIDI data on your iPad 2.

I just tried factor reset and still no response from prime. Maybe there is some kind of configuration required.

Hey Carl,

Send us a quick video of your setup to support@loopcommunity.com so we can see how your rig is setup. May want to update your firmware or test it with another iOS device to see if that works as well.

I just saw a notification that said "Looptimus: this device is not supported".

Try turning down the Looptimus' brightness. You can do this by holding down B&E while powering the Looptimus on.
