Is it possible to set each song in prime as it's own midi bank? For example: I want to use the expression pedal to control the master volume on song 1, but need to control only the pad of song 2. Each song would have it's own midi mapping independent of the other songs...

Hey Jonathan,

With PRIME, you can use standalone MIDI notes to control key changing no matter where you're at in the set. Tap the "MIDI" button to map the expression pedal to master volume on song one, then tap MIDI again to save and exit. Tap the second song, then tap MIDI again and map the expression pedal to the pad stem volume for that song. Tap MIDI once more to save and exit and you should be good to go. Let us know if we can help with anything else! =)

Hmmm has the midi mapping position changed then? If so that would be great. When I last checked the midi settings were stored at set level rather than song level.

This works really well for certain applications however if you want to set up a really simple system where you don't have to change banks then it's not so simple. I think the OP's issue is similar to something I fed back a while ago (maybe the configuration has changed since then).

For example if I want pedal 1 bank 1 to always jump to Chorus 1 of a any song in prime set I'd ideally just set that pedal to the chorus in all songs however as midi is stored at set level it remaps each time and so can only be applied to 1 song. Instead I have to bank up and then set the pedal in the new bank and remember which bank is for which song. This is ok if running in a preprepared order but not if you want to be spontaneous with song selection (which is kinda the point of the freedom of sections).

If however the midi data was stored at song level then you could just use one bank and the midi data moves with the selected song, however you could still use the bank method if that's what you're used to.

Storing at song level would seem to give the best of both worlds. The only issue I can imagine would be if people want to jump straight from 1 section if one song to another section of a different song.

Msybe a preference option to choose midi at stored st song or set level.

This is the only thing that's been missing for me at the moment as I need the spontaneity so currently have to juggle pressing the section to jump to between strums.
