I produce in Logic Pro and want to perform my fully produced songs live in a flexible timeline and be able to mix in and out certain parts of songs while performing. This will be with live vocals, so Im trying to re-create the type of flexibility that a live band has, with electronic music. Should I use Ableton or Mainstage. In terms of gear all I have is Logic, a macbook and an ipad and a limited budget.

Hey Tara,

If you are looking for a simple way to have flexibility for live performance, you may want to try PRIME. It's our free app that is available for Mac, iPhone, or iPad. It gives you a lot of flexibility when running tracks including live jumping and looping. This would also help you while on a limited budget. You could purchase the cheaper versions of the songs on our site as well. Let me know if you have any other questions about it!

If you are looking for something more advanced though, I would definitely recommend Ableton for live performance.

Hope this helps!
