Hey everyone! I just ran into an issue the other day with my growing Ableton set. I have been working on an extensive set with all of my worship songs loaded into one set with follow actions so that I can be spontaneous in worship. I am right at the 1000 scene mark. When I select a master scene over #1000, it will play the scene, but will not highlight it. Another strange thing I noticed is that if i double click a midi track to insert a midi scene, it will not insert the clip into Scene 1006, but will insert it into Scene 1000. I thought that Ableton with the Standard and Suite versions does not have any limitations with this many scenes. I have a link to a short Youtube video to demonstrate this. I created a default Live set to show this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Jared,

I did some digging and found that Ableton is limited to 1000 scenes. It is mentioned in a few forums and on this page http://sonicbloom.net/en/renumber-scenes-keep-follow-on-2-free-max-for-l....
You can create more, but like you said it won't let you do as much. You may want to reach out to Ableton to see if there is a workaround.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for checking into that for me Derek! I recently found a solution that works for me. There is a max 4 live device called "clip loop monitor". http://maxforlive.com/library/device/1686/clip-loop-monitor
I have a cue track that I can monitor now with this device as a visual, and also have the in ear cues.
