Is iRig Blueboard supported? can I use it to trigger various buttons in Prime?

I haven't been able to use my blueboard to trigger anything in prime. Prime looks for notes being sent to it through midi. The bluebird sends program changes and Control Changes (PC or CC) but not midi notes.

That's correct. PRIME only accepts MIDI notes.

I just bought the BlueBoard for me to run prime while leading worship. It took some trial and error but I was finally able to get it connected and I now have the 4 foot switches mapped to my controls in the prime app.

The BlueBoard's "main" mode only sends control change and program change midi signals. This is done through the iRig BlueBoard application. My original idea was to use the app "MidiFlow" to change the CC and PC signals to a "Note On" midi signal. Ultimately I ran into a few snags and couldn't get it to do what I had hoped.

But, there is another mode that you can switch the board to by turning it off, and holding down the "B" switch when powering on. I believe it is their "Midi LE" mode. But once I did that, the BlueBoard bluetooth signal wasn't discoverable by my iPad. So I went into the "MidiFlow" and the BlueBoard was discoverable through the app. I selected it and it was then connected to my iPad’s bluetooth.

Now, I don’t have to use MidiFlow for anything other than connecting my BlueBoard to my iPad, and once it is connected I’m able to map my controls within the Prime app.

I’ve been using it for the past few weeks and it works flawlessly!

Hope this helps!

Which Midiflow app are you using, there are a number of them?

I’m wondering the same thing. Which MidiFlow app? Is it just the main one. Also, Nate can you give some instructions in mapping it with MidiFlow? I just got a BlueBoard to use with Prime cause someone told me it worked with it.

I just use the original "Midiflow" app, subtitled: MIDI Router and Processor by Johannes Doerr.

All I do to connect my iRig BlueBoard to my iPad is this:

1. Make sure that the BlueBoard is in "Midi LE" mode (hold down the "B" button while powering on). This allows it to be discoverable outside of iRigs application
2. Make sure your bluetooth is on LOL
3. Open the Midiflow app and select "CONFIG" in the top right corner
4. From the drop down menu select, "Find nearby devices" under the "BLUETOOTH" section
5. Select the iRig BlueBoard
6. Have the most amazing worship service ever!

A couple of side notes....
1. Sometimes you have to power the BlueBoard off and on again while in the "Midiflow" app for it to be recognized
2. No mapping required, the only thing you are using the "Midiflow" app for is to connect the BlueBoard to your iPad (For some reason it won't show up in Apple's bluetooth settings)

Hope this helps!
