Keep my own cues track when using song sections/markers

Hi - love the Prime app, been using it for about 6 months. What it does, it does great, and for free. So I'm a happy worship leader.
BUT! Transitions, as others have noted, are difficult to do smoothly with Prime - Specifically, the seamless transition when the keys or guitar don't have the right sounds to cover it.

I have devised a kludgy solution that would actually work very smoothly, save for one tiny limitation. I combine back-to-back songs into a single track, with key transitions in my Pad track. In Prime, I add a new section a measure before the key change and transition to the new song. I'm also using my own click and cues tracks, which I create via a quick template in GarageBand. Two problems arise at this point

1) The cues track that I created and uploaded, which syncs up with both songs, is muted and replaced with the app's cues when I add in the section markers.
2) The next song has a different tempo, so the automatically generated cues inside Prime don't sync up any more.

This would be solved if I had the option to choose between my own cues track and the app-generated one. Is there a workaround for this? Or an on-off switch for the app's cues I'm just not seeing?

Thanks!

I have the same issue with the cues. I want to use the original cues but are replaced when adding markers.

You just have to turn off Dynamic Cues in settings.

I can't find the dynamic cue, only the dynamic click.

Same here. Should I be looking somewhere else for Dynamic Cues?

Sorry about that, I misunderstood.

The only way that Section Markers work is with Dynamic Cues. If you want to use your own Cue track, then you'll need to remove sections.

Right - that's basically the problem. I'd love to see the functionality added to use section markers, but with my own existing click AND cues track. But I understand that with a free app, there's only so much customization one can expect. For now, I'll just keep using my workaround. It gets the job done! Thanks!

And/or, it would be awesome to see a fad out or crossfade function added to help facilitate smooth song transitions (which is what I'm ultimately trying to do with this workaround).

Because Section Markers allow you to Jump / Loop / Repeat sections, the cues have to be dynamic. There's no way to make it work with your own Cue track.

I have the same issue. This ^^^ seems to be a major functionality oversight. Unfortunately, it's the fatal flaw for me. I was looking forward to using this app, and now I've gotta drop it. Seemed like it was gonna be a good option for my team, but not anymore. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE create a way to use basic Section Markers without being forced into the dynamic cues. I would gladly pay money for this app if that's what it takes to create this option. Seems like kind of a simple fix, but then again i'm not a programmer so what do i know...? ;o)

I totally get Matt's logic. The thing is that there are cues like "drums in" or "full band" that are not available using the app markers. In my case I usually use the markes as a visual cue but don't jump through sections often.

I can totally see why dynamic cues are needed for section markers. I can also see where the cues are a problem because they are applied dynamically in stead of intuitively. Here is a possible workaround. Mix your custom cues in with the click track and if you have to, mute the guide track and turn off dynamic guide. Of course I haven't tried this but, I think it might just be a stroke of "duh genius" on my part. Just kidding, I'm going to try it for a worship set I am doing tomorrow. I will report how it goes.

So after testing my previous solution. I plan on placing my custom non section related cues inside the Click Track. This will include a song title at the beginning of the track (which is usefull when you have that lapse in memory when you or a team member forgets the song we are about to do. Also it will include custom cues like build, breakdown, etc.) This solution worked really well for me
