Although I am not new to leading worship, I am new to using tracks. I've muddled my way through most of it, but am looking for a way to be able to somehow use the Looptimus controller function to seamlessly trigger a pad in between songs in my setlist. This would not only help with song transitions, but would help if I wanted to take some time to allow the congregation to worship before firing off the next song. Currently, the only way I know to do it would be with a second Looptimus/ipad that was left in Controller mode with Garage Band open (or connected via midi to a kbd).
This is where the Expander Switch comes in handy. You can use the Expander Switch to quickly switch between PAD mode and DEF mode. Trigger your pad, then trigger your tracks - all with one Looptimus. Unfortunately, the Expander Switch is completely sold out right now but we are going to have another solution for you in about 1 week. Stay tuned.
I have pins and needles that I am sitting on. :D
BTW: Thanks for coming up with a very easy-to-use and affordable solution for churches. I went live with tracks on Easter Sunday, and our church was floored. Our drummer felt more confident, so he took more chances, and it came off well. Very cool stuff.
