prime app crashing...

Hey guys several times in the last week the app has crashed during use. I did the last 2 updates that were released on Friday and it still didn't resolve the problem which was frustrating for me being that I bought some tracks that I was going to use for an event this Sat and couldn't use at all. As well as this Sunday. the other problem that is occurring is that Prime is not recognizing my interface when in use. It sees my Iconnectivity device...allows for me to select my outputs, but sends out just as a stereo track just like I would get from the headphone jack, again limiting my use when it is not crashing. Please help as I would prefer not to go into another Sunday like today....

Hi Aaron,

I am sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with PRIME.
1. What device are you using PRIME on?
2. When it crashes, are you getting an error message?
3. Is this happening on one song, or random songs?

As for the interface issue:
1. Before you open PRIME, if you are using a Mac, go to your Mac settings and under Sound, Output, choose the iConnectivity. Then open PRIME and select Devices and choose the iConnect. Now try setting your outputs and seeing if they send correctly.
2. Have you setup the iConnect with iConfig on a computer? This is there software that helps the channels be routed correctly.

Hope this helps! Let us know the answers to the first three questions and we can have more information on how to fix the crashes.

1. Im using a 2018 Macbook pro
2. Yes every time an error message the last time it did it I saved it as a PDF that I can send if you need to see it
3. Random songs
4. I will try doing that for Iconnectivity...I've never had to do that in the past as it just recognizes it upon set-up.
5. Yes on iConfig

Hey Aaron,

Try doing that first with your settings and see if that also solves the crashing issue. Sometimes if the Mac and PRIME are not lining up on what Output device is chosen, it can cause crashing. If that doesn't work, please let us know.

Hey man i did all that you suggested tonight at rehearsal and the app continues to crash...quite frustrating... please advise next steps....

Hi Aaron,

Have you checked to see if there is a firmware update for your iConnectivity? Sometimes they release firmware updates and I'm wondering if the interface may need to be updated. If there is, try that. Also, try resetting PRIME by following these steps:
1. Close PRIME and hit Command + Space
2. Search Terminal
3. When Terminal opens, paste this into the box:
rm -R ~/Library/Containers/com.loopcommunity.PRIMEMAC
4. Hit Enter
5. Open PRIME up and see if crashing continues while using the iConnect.
