1 song 2 time signatures
Is there a way to make the arrangements customizable in Prime when one song has two different time signatures. Example song; How Sweet It Is by Tomlin. I noticed "Loop Community" did the song and put it in 3/4 time however, can one still customize the arrangement in Prime, and if so what must be done prior to the upload of the stems?
Hey there, Unfortunately any song with tempo or time signature changes won't be able to be customized in this way. You can purchase the File Download versions and edit the arrangement manually, but you would have access to the Edit Arrangement or Add Markers feature in Prime. Sorry for the inconvenience!
I have the same problem, I upload my own song but it have a change from 4/4 to 2/4 in the middle but when i try to make the arrangment I cant setup it.
do anyone have a solution yet?
What I've done from 4/4 to 2/4 is set the song as 2/4. However you will have to make the CUES to say what you actually want them to be (ie; "chorus 2, 3, 4"). From 3/4 to 4/4 can't be "re-arranged". One just has to do the song as it is recorded. other than that I know nothing lol sry if you ever figure it out please keep me posted.
4/4 with 2/4 and 6/8 with 3/8,9/8, etc has a workaround.
1) import the song as 2/4
2) set all of your markers as needed and save
3) delete the song off ipad/device
4) on loopcommunity website, pull up the song and click edit track details
5) change the song from 2/4 to 4/4
6) redownload the song on your ipad/device, and the 4/4 cues will work as needed, even for the 2/4 measures (will give a 4 beat count leading into each section).
For 6/8, it is similar but you create the song in 3/4, set all of your markers as needed, and then change the song on loopcommunity's website from 3/4 to 6/8 with proper time signature.
I'll also turn off the click accent for the songs I edit like this because the accent will get off after those 2/4, 3/8 measures. 4/4 songs with 3/4 measures, I just have to repurchase those from loopcommunity if I want the song mapped out. I almost gave up on the Prime app because of this limitation, but the work around saved it for me. Hopefully the hack continues to work until an official option is available.
