Delay in Launching Scenes

Ableton

I have discovered a minor issue when launching a scene. Occasionally when I go to launch a scene after Abelton has been sitting there is a slight delay in launching the scene. I have a brand new Macbook Pro running Yosemite and I do not put the hard drive to sleep when the computer is idle. Thanks,'Jon

It's by design. It follows the global quantization setting to determine when it will play based on where the current time of the song is. What you're probably referring to is after you have played something in Ableton and the song has finished, you want to launch another scene but it makes you wait a couple seconds. That's because the transport is still running so it's just waiting for the next downbeat to come in. You can program a button on your rig to stop the transport before you hit play. Just review the difference between CLIP STOP and TRANSPORT STOP.
