As a producer, musician, and songwriter, Vernon’s gifts flourished through years of ministry and mentorship. Serving as Assistant Music Director at Genesis Bible Fellowship, he deepened his dedication to using music as a vessel for worship and transformation. His experience led him to support and train numerous worship teams, empowering churches to cultivate authentic, spirit-led Praise & Worship experiences. Driven by a vision to create music that uplifts and inspires the body of Christ, Vernon founded Nonrev Christian Music, a collective of artists and worshipers devoted to crafting songs that draw people closer to God. Under his leadership, Nonrev has released impactful projects including “Jesus Is Calling” featuring LaVarn Gordon—aired on Sirius XM Gospel Radio and streamed over 150,000 times on YouTube—and “Unshaken”, an international single that gained attention on Billboard Soft AC Radio and stations worldwide. Vernon’s creative reach extends into seasonal and stylistic diversity, producing the celebrated Christmas album Great Joy, a rich blend of jazz, gospel, and contemporary classical influences. Songs like “Great Joy” featuring LaVarn Gordon and “Glory to God” featuring Taylor Simone Butts climbed to #22 on the CMW Christmas Radio Chart, showcasing his unique ability to merge excellence in production with heartfelt worship.
