Despite their young age the brothers Vegard and Bård Ylvisåker, better known as Ylvis, have gained a unique position in the Norwegian entertainment industry. When the two young men began their career in 2000 with the show Ylvis ­– en kabaret ("Ylvis – A Cabaret"), critics and audience alike handed out superlatives. The same happened a few years later, when the brothers completed their second performance, Ylvis – en konsert ("Ylvis – A Concert").
