How to Equip Your Worship Team

Published by Loop Community on

As a worship leader or pastor, it’s important to make sure that your team is equipped with the tools they need to adequately prepare for a weekend of worship services! Here are a few tips that will help you accomplish this.

1. Select Songs Early

Have your songs selected a week in advance. This way your team can plan their week accordingly and give themselves sufficient time to learn their part.

2. Utilize Worship Planning Tools

There are many different tools to help you with service planning, such as Planning Center. Use these tools to organize and share chord charts, lead sheets and any other materials that will help your musicians prepare more efficiently.

3. Share Your Setlist

If you are a Prime user, then you have the option through Loop Pro to share the setlist with your team. This gives them an audible reference and allows them to practice with a click track. Practicing with the click and tracks can have a massive impact in your band’s confidence.

4. Be Available

Make yourself available. Sometimes changes to a setlist are inevitable, so if this happens, be available during the week to answer any questions from your musicians!

5. Remember the “Why”

Be patient and remember that although we are to always do things to the best of our ability, God cares more about our hearts than the tone of our worship.
