What type of power supply works with Looptimus?

WARNING - make sure you use the correct power supply to avoid damaging your Looptimus. This will void the warranty. Use a 9v DC 300ma power supply. The tip polarity must be center negative.

What Kind Of Expression Pedal Should I Use?

Most expression pedals should work with Looptimus, however, we recommend pedals that are stereo TRS, 10k. Our favorite that we recommend is the Roland EV-5. The expression pedal functions as a control change parameter in your MIDI application. NOTE: Looptimus does NOT work with Volume pedals… only MIDI Expression Pedals (yes, there is a difference).

How Does Looptimus Work With Prime?

Besides perfectly? Well… Simply plug in Looptimus using an Apple Camera Connector Kit. Button 1A will start song 1, button 1B will start song 2, etc. The STOP button will stop all audio. In All Access Mode, buttons A and D will change the tempo while buttons B and E will change the key of the selected track. You can also map any button to control different functions in Prime.

Is there a way to reset my Looptimus?

If your Looptimus MIDI Channels or Program Changes are all over the place and you want to start fresh, hold down the A and D buttons on Looptimus when you are plugging in your USB cable or 9V power supply. When the LED screen reads "888" you can let go. Your Looptimus has now been reset to factory default settings.

What Are The Dimensions Of The Looptimus?

Dimensions: 8.5″ x 5″ x 1.5″ Looptimus is designed to work well with musicians in a live setting whether you’re a guitar player that wants a familiar pedal-feel for a loop rig, a keyboard player that can mount it to their stand, or a drummer who places it right next to the high-hat pedal. Looptimus is perfect for any aspect of stage music.

Ableton Isn't Assigning MIDI With Looptimus

Under Ableton Live preferences, select the MIDI tab. Next to ‘Looptimus’, make sure the ‘Remote’ switch is turned ON. If you’re using Looptimus to play pads, make sure the ‘Track’ switch is turned on as well.

Should I Use MIDI or USB?

The beauty of Looptimus is that you can use both at the same time or just the one you prefer! The same messages and commands are sent out both jacks simultaneously. This allows you to control multiple devices!

My expression pedal isn't working.

When using an expression pedal with Looptimus, make sure you have calibrated the pedal. Before the Looptimus is plugged in, hold down the 3 and 6 buttons. While you are holding them down, plug the Looptimus in to power it up. Continue to hold 3 and 6 down for 5 seconds until the LED screen reads E0. Plug your expression pedal in. Set the expression pedal to its lowest point, then hit the Next button on Looptimus. Then press the pedal to its highest point, and hit the Next button again. Now your expression pedal has been calibrated with Looptimus.

PAD Mode in Looptimus

With PAD mode, Looptimus transforms into a MIDI piano for your feet. Connect Looptimus to your music software, then enable a virtual instrument, such as a pad. The Next and Previous buttons allow you to select your desired key. Once you choose your key, the 1-6 buttons on the Looptimus will play to the corresponding fifth chord. You can also change the octave by pressing and holding down the Next button, then use the next and previous buttons to choose your desired outcome.

How does the Looptimus Mini work with the Looptimus?

Connect the Looptimus Mini to the Looptimus with a balanced TRS patch cable. Once they are connected, the Mini adds three additional buttons per bank, three more standalone buttons, or can be used to quickly switch between Looptimus modes.

What software does Looptimus work with?

Looptimus is compatible with any midi-mappable music software such as Ableton Live, MainStage, Logic and more! Looptimus also works seamlessly with the Loop Community Prime app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

What is Looptimus?

Looptimus is the best way to control your tracks, instead of your tracks controlling you. With Looptimus, you can use it to start and stop your tracks, loop song sections, or even play pads with your feet! It works seamlessly with PRIME, Ableton Live and any other music application that accepts MIDI.
